Saran's first opportunity to appear in front of the camera came whilst she studied her second year at the LSR College in Delhi, which she quit to participate for the shoot. Saran's first screen appearance was in the music video of Tirakthi Kyon Hawa by Reenu Nathan, which she was given a chance to perform in by her dance teacher who had recommended her. Shriya Saran (born September 11, 1982) is an Indian film actress. She began her career acting in music videos, while also attending an acting studio to follow her dream to act. She made her Tamil movie debut in Enakku 20 Unakku 18 (2003), along with Telugu actor Tarun and Trisha Krishnan[14]. Shreya Saran was a part of Tamil director Mani Ratnam's stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai, an event which seeks to raise funds for The Banyan, a voluntary organisation which rehabilitates homeless women with mental illness in Chennai. She also walked the ramp alongside Neetu Chandra for fashion designer Neeta Lulla at the Chennai International Fashion Week on 20 December 2009 famous Tamil actress Tamanna also attended to watch the show.
